To the Editor,
Yesterday my wife and I attended the Memorial Day Services in Peterson, as we have for a number of years, and in our opinion it was one of the best. The music by the middle school band, the excellent address stressing the meaning of the day by Pastor Frank Kirkemeyer, the appearance and precision of the military squad, all contributed to a very meaningful and dignified propram. We certainly congratulate the Peterson Community for presenting it.

To the Editor,
Lanesboroís Art in the Park is coming up on Sunday, June 18th. The Art Council has many committees and individuals working hard to restore it to what they feel was always a very successful and entertaining festival. We urge the people of Lanesboro and surrounding area to come and enjoy the jazz festival and other entertainment, great food, arts and crafts, demonstrations and photo contest on June 18 in Lanesboro.

To the Editor,
It seems every year about this time, rural residents of Fillmore County begin complaining about dust on gravel roads. The question I have is if you donít like the dust, why not move into town, where the roads are usually paved. I have lived on rural gravel roads in this county all my life. I accept the dust as a price to pay for the beautiful surroundings and way of life. There are commercial dust control services operating in this area, that for a reasonable fee do good job. I believe it is the rural residents responsibility to procure this service if they so choose. In closing, I would like to thank the Fillmore County Highway Dept. and the Board of Commissioners for a job well done.
Sincerely,
