Sour cream apple pie

5 cups pared, cored, and diced apples
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
1 9” pie shell
• Chop apples in a medium dice. Combine flour and sugar, add egg, sour cream, vanilla and salt. Beat until smooth.
•Add apples, mix and pour entire mixture into the pie shell.
•Bake 350° 30 minutes. Cover pie with the topping-like mixture and bake 15 minutes longer or
until brown.
Topping
1/2 cup sugar
5 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup butter
