Syrald Bremseth, 79, of rural Lanesboro, died of cancer Sunday, June 4, 2000 at Harmony Care Center where he had been a patient four days.
Born March 31, 1921, in Fillmore County, he served in the Army during World War II and lived in Fillmore County most of his life.
Survivors include five brothers, Alvin of Brooklyn Park, MN, Carroll (Sharon) of Brookings, SD, Roger (Marge) of Buffalo, MN, Charles (Peggy) of St. Anthony, MN, and James (Janet) of Brooklyn Center, MN, and four sisters, Lois (Percy) Peterson, Eleanor (Gerald) Peterson, and Rebecca (Marvin) Sandness, all of Lanesboro, and Phyllis (Roger) Kvitrud of New Brighton, MN. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
The funeral for Mr. Bremseth was held Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Elstad Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro, with the Rev. Rodney K. Nygren officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Johnson-Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro was in charge of arrangements.
