French Dressing with Tomatoes

1 can (10 oz.) tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp. prepared mustard
2 to 3 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Tomatoes, cut into wedges
Lettuce leaves
• In a jar or airtight container, place all ingredients except last two. Shake well.
• In a bowl, place tomatoes and enough dressing to cover. Let stand several hours at room temperature.
• To serve, remove tomatoes from dressing with a slatted spoon, place on lettuce leaves. Drizzle with dressing. The dressing will keep in refrigerator to use in small portions for several weeks.
