Have you been traveling this summer? For some it may mean a airline flight for a short visit. Of course the unexpected can happen. Luggage can get lost or flights may get missed. The powerful jets of an airplane which carry tons passengers and cargo into the sky can fail because of a flock of birds or some volcanic ash. Airplanes have been targets for terrorists. Will you want flight insurance?
Travel for others may include packing for a more permanent move to a new location. Thousands of dollars of your prized possessions are going to be traveling. Maybe you will be driving the rental truck or maybe you've located a "mover." Either way there are risks. There is danger on the roads for both your possessions and the members of your family. Will you be taking the insurance package being offered?
The writer of Psalm 139 marveled at the intimate relationship God had established with him. There was never a time or situation in which God was not a part of the writer's life. Even if he tried to escape God, God would still be there. The thought was of great comfort to him and to us. God who wove us together in our mother's wombs wants to always be a part of our lives. He through faith in Jesus wants us as his children. His presence is the greatest insurance we can have in life. See you in church!
