Everett J. Erickson

A memorial service was held for Everett Erickson on Saturday, July 1, 2000 at Scheie Lutheran Church in rural Mabel.
Mr. Erickson, 88, of McAllen, TX, a retired Mabel-area farmer, died January 19, 2000, in McAllen.
Born November 18, 1911, in rural Mabel, he attended Newburg School and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture in 1934. On December 26, 1935, he married Marion Wendling in Locust, IA. They farmed near Mabel until their retirement in 1972 and then lived in Rochester for a short time before moving to McAllen.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David of Mission, TX, and James of Paynesville, MN; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sis-ter, Myrtle Rasmussen of Spring Grove. A daughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel was in charge of arrangements.
