• Four local students participated in commencement activities held at Mankato State University in May. Shane McBroom of Chatfield received a BS in Management, Heather Timm of Chatfield graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Finance, Jermy Post of Lanesboro graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Athletic Training, and Mary Hartert of Spring Valley received a BS in Interior Design and Construction Management.
• Erin Woxland of Rushford graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a BS in Home Economics Education.
Dean’s List
• Sarah Yeo, daughter of John and Bobbi Yeo, a recent graduate of Fillmore Central High School, was named to the Dean’s List at Central Arizona College in Coolidge, AZ. Sarah is studying to become a Registered Nurse.
• Michael Opat of Chatfield, a Civil Engineering and Management major, Eric Werner of Lanesboro, an Architecture major, and Amy Crussel of Spring Valley, a Doctorate of Pharmacy. major, were all named to the Dean’s List at North Dakota State University in Fargo.
• Three local students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. They are Dani Book of Peterson, Kari Byrne of Preston, and Nicole Botcher of Rushford.

• Lee Raine Highum, daughter of Wayne and Neta Highum of Peterson, has been awarded an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Highum is spending ten weeks working as a tour guide and an assistant in the Musical Instruments Department. She is a senior at the University of South Dakota-Vermillion and works at the Shrine to Music Museum in Vermillion.
• Mary Aggen of Harmony has accepted an internship with Cenex Harvest States - Land O’Lakes in St. Paul. Mary is an Ag Industries Marketing major in the College of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota. Her parents, Barb and Lynn Aggen live in Harmony.

• Hannah Alexander, of Canton, is taking part in a study tour of England, Scotland, and France in August. Twenty-two students are taking part in the two-week study tour that is led by English and History faculty from Northwestern College in St. Paul. Alexander received a bachelor’s degree in history during Northwestern’s commencement ceremonies held in May.
