Elaine Tammel-Buck, age 79, of Richfield, a former Preston resident, died July 11, 2000 in Richfield.
Elaine Tammel was born March 18, 1921 in Spring Valley to Garret John and Johanna Tammel. She attended the Little Red school in rural Preston. She married Frank H. Buck, Jr. on July 12, 1952 and they raised their family in the Richfield/ Minneapolis area. She was a beautician and homemaker for most of her life. She and her husband enjoyed golfing and wintered in Florida during retirement. She was a member of St. Peters Church in Richfield.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; three sons, Frank (Myrlene) Buck of Salt Lake City, UT, James (Chris) Buck of Illinois, and William (Joann) Buck of Richfield; and granddaughters Amy, Annie, Sarah, Rachel, Katie, Jamie and Kelly.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tammel-Buck were held Monday, July 17, 2000 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Richfield. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
