Last Book Read: “Forgiving” by LaVyrle Spencer

Latest Accomplishment: Overcoming the obstacles of beginning the job working for the City of Canton. The first two years have been difficult and I am always learning something new each day.
Favorite Quote: I have 2 favorite quotes that I feel are good lessons to follow in life. Too many times I feel people are missing out on getting to know the good things in people because they aren’t following these two quotes. I see this happening everyday and I feel it is a good lesson to teach our children. Never judge another until you have walked in their shoes & Don’t judge a book by its cover .
What I like most about living in Fillmore County: I like the fact that we live in a community where most people are friendly and caring of one another. I think that this area is a great place to raise a family.
Fondest Memory: The births of my three children. Another of my fondest memories is the day that we moved from town to the country, from the day we were married we wanted to move to the country.
Prized Possession: I have several prized possessions that belonged to my grandmother and great-grandmother. I treasure them because every time I look at them they remind me of two people who were very important to me and I will pass these possessions onto my children.
Why I read the Journal: I read the Journal because it comes in the mailbox every Monday. I read the classifieds ads and also read through the meeting minutes for the City of Canton.
