To the Editor,
I have been visiting family within Rushford. We decided to look at all that had been set up for Homecoming 2000. We passed the little kid’s amusement area and to my shock there was a huge blow-up Titanic!! I was absolutely appalled and disturbed. How can someone make the Titanic into a slide? It really scares me that anyone could make death of over 1500 people into fun! The young and old perished on that ship. Children will think that death is a fun game, and how degrading for the relatives of the people who died on the ship. We must keep in mind that the Titanic was real.

The 2000 All-School Reun-ion brought together parents and guests with current as well as with former faculty and students for memorable times of reminiscing. The good times were heartwarming. The committee for the reunion began planning two years ago. Each of the committee members is grateful for the support and appreciates the efforts of all who attended, sent letters, placed telephone calls and/or sent donations. Memorabilia orders may still be placed at the Fillmore Central Middle School or by calling 765-45 or 765-4785. Any additional funds left af-ter the outstanding bills have been paid will be used for planning the big 2010 All-School Reunion.
