Clarence Liudahl, 77, of Harmony, a retired farmer and former business owner, died of cancer Saturday, July 15, 2000 at Harmony Nursing Home.
Born June 26, 1923, in Spring Grove, he moved to rural Harmony with his family in 1931. On June 18, 1952, he married Blanche Johnson Winslow at Nativity Catholic Church in Harmony and they were later divorced. He married Maxine Graff in December 1981 and they also divorced. Mr. Liudahl operated Liudahl Plumbing and Heating from 1951 to 1975 and farmed until his retirement in 1989. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and during retirement played golf and cribbage. He was a longtime member of Harmony AA.
Survivors include two daughters, Barb (Bob) Michel of Harmony and Mary (Mike) Kiehne of Hesper, IA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Iva (Birg) Rolstad of Rochester and Jean Liudahl of Edina, MN; a brother, Ronald (Jackie) of Dodge Center, and special friend and caregiver, Blanche Liudahl.
The funeral for Mr. Liudahl was held Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with the Rev. John Hagen officiating. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony was in charge of arrangements.
