Christopher Hovey, 25, of rural Harmony, a farmer, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000 of injuries suffered in an auto accident.
He was born July 22, 1974, in Decorah, IA and graduated from Crestwood High School in Cresco in 1993. He farmed in Winneshiek County, IA.
Survivors include his parents, Leland and Connie Hovey of Harmony; two sisters, Erin Hovey of Harmony and Dawn Kucera of Madison, NE; maternal grandparents, Oval and Hazel Dybvik of Canton; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Hovey of Cresco.
The funeral for Mr. Hovey was held Saturday, July 15, 2000 at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with the Rev. John Hagen officiating. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco was in charge of arrangements.
