Barbara Sims, 55, of Pleasanton, CA, formerly of the Granger area, died of natural causes Saturday, July 22, 2000 at her home.
Barbara Ferkingstad was born November 14, 1944 in San Fernando, CA. She married Charles Sims in Granger. After moving to Pleasanton 13 years ago, she continued her education and established her own technical recruiting business.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Christina Sims of Medford, OR; her mother, Imogene (Clark) Ferkingstad of Grants Pass, OR; a sister, Patricia Krueger of Norwalk, IA and a brother, Harold Ferkingstad of Grants Pass. Her father preceded her in death.
The funeral for Mrs. Sims was held Thursday, July 27, 2000 at the Granger Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted Peterson officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Granger. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco was in charge of arrangements.
