• Karen and Paul Schmidt announce the birth of their son, Devan Samuel Schmidt, born on July 13, 2000. Devan joins his brother, Vaughan, age 2. Devan's paternal grandparents are Dave and Jeanette Schmidt of Preston, and his great grandparents are Gerald and Carol Schmidt of Preston. His maternal grandparents are Phyllis Fulwider of Anamosa, Iowa and the late Forest Fulwider.
• Eric and Kristi Ruen of Lanesboro proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Bailey Ann, born Monday, July 24, 2000 at 8:31 p.m. at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Bailey weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. She is welcomed home by older sister Leah. Grandparents are Charles and Gloria Ruen of Lanesboro and Harriet and the late Wayne Brown of Hastings. Great-grandparents are Howard Ruen of Lanesboro and Clifford Rustad of Rushford.

• A son, Zachary William, was born to Sandy and Dennis Thielen of Princeton, MN on July 30. He weighed 8 pounds, 13 oz. and was 21 inches long. Grandparents are David and Helen Winslow of Preston and Larry and Annette Theilen of Zimmerman, MN. Great grandparents are Harold and Lila Moenck of Caledonia.
• A daughter, Ann-Marie Anisse Scrabeck, was born to Jermey and Crystal Scrabeck of Mabel. She was born August 1st and is welcomed home by older sister, Yasman. She weighed 7 pounds, 20 oz. and was 20 inches long. Paternal grandparents are Barb Eiken of Mabel and John Highbell of Fountain.
