Louie Decker, 93, of Lime Springs, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, August. 8, 2000, at Evans Memorial Home in Cresco.

He was born Feb. 2, 1907, in Schley, Iowa. On October 25, 1934, he married Rose Koester in Preston, Minn. They farmed in Howard County, Iowa, until their retirement and then moved into Lime Springs.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Louie Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA, Carl of Lawler, IA, and Donald of Tyler, TX; three daughters, Betty Roesler of Lime Springs, Arlene Sjullie of Cedar Rapids and Luella Postel of Central City, IA; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and six stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral for Louie Decker was held Saturday, August 12, 2000 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lime Springs with the Rev. Linda Johnson officiating. Burial was in the New Oregon Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Lime Springs was in charge of arrangements.
