MINNEAPOLIS, August 4, 2010 - Weber Shandwick today announced that Brooke Worden was named to PRWeek's 2010 "40 Under 40" list profiling professionals, nominated by colleagues, who have made significant contributions to their agencies, clients and organizations.

According to PRWeek, this year's entries were more impressive than ever, with 200-plus entries competing to make the list.

Worden, a 17-year industry veteran, is a vice president in the financial services practice at Weber Shandwick's Minneapolis office. For the past three years, Worden has directed the PR campaign for the U.S. Census. Leading a team of 50, Worden has earned impressive coverage across multiple media - including more than 102 million media impressions in the first week of the 2010 Census "Portrait of America" road tour campaign. She began her career in financial services and journalism, serving as staff reporter for Twin Cities Business. Worden also volunteers her time to several organizations, including the Girl Scouts and the Citizens League, and serves on the board of the PRSA's Minnesota chapter, for which she is president-elect for 2011. Worden, daughter of Duane and Melissa Benson, graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1989.

"We are so proud of Brooke for making PRWeek's esteemed '40 Under 40' list," said Barb Iverson, president of Weber Shandwick's financial services industry practice.
