Adolph Larson, 88, of Maplewood, MN, formerly of Mabel, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000, at Ramsey Nursing Home in Maplewood.

He was born Oct. 4, 1911, in Preston and lived and farmed in the Mabel area most of his life. In 1935, he married Dorothy Stroud. Mr. Larson was active in the Mabel United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, 4-H and Mabel Feed Association. He enjoyed fishing and watching baseball and football.

Survivors include his wife of Maplewood; a daughter, Joanne (Glenn) Ickler of Hopedale, MA; two sons, Richard (Linda) of Monterey, CA, and David (Delores) of Roseville, MN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (June) of Mabel; and a sister, Irene (Claude) Anderson of Mabel. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral for Mr. Larson was held Friday, October 6, 2000, at United Methodist Church in Mabel, with the Rev. David Laechel officiating. Burial was in Mabel Public Cemetery. Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel was in charge of arrangements.
