Hazel Mlenar, 86, of Spring Valley, a longtime Collins Produce employee, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Olmsted Community Hospital in Rochester.

Hazel A. McNalley was born April 30, 1914, in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in May 1931. Her husband, Joseph Mlenar, died in 1964. Mrs. Mlenar was an egg candler for Collins Produce for many years. She enjoyed reading.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Kenny) Peterson of Canton; two sons, Herb (Jan) and Don (Shirley), both of Spring Valley; a stepson, George Mauer of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a stepson, two brothers and a sister.

The funeral for Hazel A. Mlenar was held Thursday, October 5, 2000, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, with the Rev. Dennis Timmerman officiating. A private burial service was held in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
