Darrell W. Storlie, 62, of Rushford, died Wednesday, October 11, 2000, at the home of his daughter in Randolph, WI.

He was born January 26, 1938, in Lanesboro. He attended elementary schools in Lanesboro and Rochester. His family moved to California, where he graduated from high school in Hawthorne, CA in 1956. He married Linda Zaccaglin and they later divorced. He was awarded a trophy for being the youngest licensed pilot in California. Other hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was a truck driver until his retirement due to ill health in 1995.

Surviving are his mother, Hilda Storlie of Rushford; two daughters, Karen (Bruce) Simonis of Randolph, WI and Sheryl (Richard) Reeder of Flower Mound, TX; a son, Steven of Savage, MN; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother Mike (Patricia) Storlie of San Antonio, TX, and one sister, Elaine Robascotti of Carmel, CA. He was preceded in death by his father in 1989.

A funeral mass was held for Mr. Storlie at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Rushford on Saturday, October 13, 2000, the Rev. William Kulasp officiating. The body was cremated.
