Harvey C. Wilson, 56, of rural Whalan, a self-employed mechanic, died of a heart attack on Monday, October 30, 2000 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he had been a patient three days.

Born February 21, 1944 in Auburn, WA, he moved at the age of 1 with his parents to rural Whalan and lived there until his marriage. On April 17, 1961, he married Carol Feine in Hart. They lived in Harmony before returning to rural Whalan in 1970. Mr. Wilson was a mechanic and worked for Trouten Implement Co. in Harmony before becoming self-employed 15 years ago. His wife is employed by the Lanesboro school system.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Vicky Wilson of New Richland, MN, and Candice Erdner of Wells, MN; five grandchildren; a brother, Donald of Peterson; and a sister, Winifred (Roger) Eiken of Canton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

The funeral for Mr. Wilson was held on Wednesday, November 1, at the Whalan Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul R. Johnson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Johnson-Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro was in charge of arrangements.
