Lores Ruth Nichols Trask

Lores Ruth Nichols Trask, 62, of Spring Park, MN, died Thursday, October 19, 2000 from the effects of colon cancer.
Mrs. Trask and her husband operated some small farms in the Rushford and Spring Grove area since 1983.

Mrs. Trask was born on February 28, 1938 in Faribault, MN, and spent her early childhood in the Waseca and Owatonna areas before settling with her family on a dairy farm in Milaca. She graduated from Milaca High School in 1956 and then the University of Minnesota in 1960. The following year she married Douglas C. Trask on October 21. They had two children, Bonita Lynn and Keith Douglas.

She was involved in her church and other organizations. She taught Vacation Bible School, led the Children’s Choir and delivered Meals on Wheels for Bethel Methodist Church for many years. She was a children’s leader for Bible Study Fellowship, a Bible School teacher at the Marie Sandvik Center and a Deaconess at Calvary Memorial Church.

Lores had a heart for music. She sang in several church choirs throughout her life, and with Sweet Adelines where she began singing in a quartet which continued to sing together for 26 years.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; one daughter, Bonita (Joe) Reyes, St. Paul; one son, Keith, Spring Park, MN; one sister, Lynn Nelson , Norton, KA; and one grandson.

Services were held on Monday, October 23, 2000 at Calvary Memorial Church, Wayzata. Internment was at Milaca, MN.
