Bonita Marjorie Bushman, 85, of Fountain, died Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Bonnie Finley was born on March 5, 1915 in Jordan Township in Fillmore County. She grew up on the family farm west of Chatfield and attended rural schools. She married John Bushman on September 24, 1934 in Racine, MN. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Chatfield - Fountain area until they retired in 1976. She continued to live on the farm until entering the Chosen Valley Care Center in March of this year. She was a member of the Fountain United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherwoman and gardener.

Surviviors include six sons; Eugene of Roscoe, MN, Kenneth (Ruby) of Roscoe, Marvin (Dorothy) of Chatfield, Larry (Doreen) of Wykoff, Steven (Deb) of Mankato, David (Wendy) of Rochester; two daughters; Marjorie (Daniel) Cambern of Fountain; Virginia (Donald) Horman of Chatfield; five brothers; Archie of Wabasha, Albert of Rochester, Vernon of Chatfield, Ivan of Las Vegas, NV, Howard of Stewartville; three sisters; Iva Smith of Spring Valley, Mildred Zillget of LeRoy, Kay Powell of Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, three sisters, 1 grand-daughter.

A memorial service for Mrs. Bushman was held on Friday, November 10, 2000 at the Stewartville United Methodist Church in Stewartville, with the Rev. Robert Kandels officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville. Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville was in charge of arrangements.
