The following local students have been awarded scholarships at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for this year: Robin Theye of Chatfield; Teresa Kingsbury of Peterson; Jennifer Dittrich of Spring Valley; and Holly Jeske of Wykoff.

Cotter Horihan of Lanesboro, son of Richard and Linda Horihan, Lanesboro has been accepted for the Fall 2001 term at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cotter is a currently sophmore at Riverland Community College in Austin, MN. He will be graduating from Riverland in May and transfering to Augsburg in the fall. His major will be Spanish and a minor in Education.
