Hildegard Klingsheim, 73, of Wykoff, died Friday November17, 2000 at her home.

Hildegarde Hongerholt was born November 29, 1926, in Fillmore County. She attended rural Fillmore County schools. She worked in Wayzata, MN, for several years until her marriage to Earl Klingsheim on August 20, 19, in Spring Valley.

The couple made their home on his family farm in rural Lime Springs, IA. The couple retired from farming in 1984 and moved to Wykoff where she was a child-care provider for area families. She was a charter member of the Assemblies of God in Spring Valley, where she taught Sunday school and was part of the Women's Ministry. She was also a member of the Rainbow Garden Club and the Homemakers in Wykoff. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; two daughters, Gloria (Mark) Mueller of Marine, MN, and Erleen (Allen) Hartleip of Byron; a son, Galen (Ellen) of Lime Springs; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Ingvald Hongerholt of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Joseph Hongerholt of Williston, ND; and two sisters, Aletha Carlson of Winona and Helen Raaen of Lanesboro. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

The funeral for Hildegarde Klingsheim was on Monday, November 20, 2000 at the Assemblies of God in Spring Valley, with the Rev. Steve Kuno officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Lime Springs, IA. Thauwald Funeral Home of Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
