Mary Ann Prudoehl

Mary Prudoehl, 57, of Rushford, died Wednesday, November 22, 2000, at her home, following a month-long battle with cancer.

Mary Ann Gallas was born August 18, 1943, in Winona. She grew up in Winona and graduated from Winona Cotter High School in 1961. After graduation from medical secretary school in Winona, she worked as a medical secretary for the Rushford Community Clinic. On July 31, 1965, she married Dennis Prudoehl in Winona. The couple operated the Rushford Green House from 1976 until 1998, and Rushford Carpet and Urn until the time of her death. Mrs. Prudoehl was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and was also a member of the Rushford Area Business Association and the Priscilla Club. She enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Brian (Wanda) of Lewiston; two daughters, Deb Prudoehl of Waukesha, WI, and Shelly Prudoehl of Hokah; two grandsons; her mother, Mary Gallas of Winona; and a brother, Wayne (Sue) Gallas of Rochester. Her father preceded her in death.

A funeral Mass for Mary Ann Prudoehl was held Monday, November 27, 2000, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rushford with the Rev. William Kulas officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rushford. Hoff Funeral Homes-Cook Rushford Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
