Paul Gardner, 80, a longtime Lanesboro resident, died Saturday, December 2, 2000, at his home. He had been ill three years

Born June 3, 1920, in Howard, SD, he moved to Osceola, WI, with his family and graduated from Osceola High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He farmed in the Dresser, WI, area and was a feed and seed salesman for Northrup King and Doughboy. He had lived in Lanesboro since 1958. In October 1943, he married Vernise Hayman. She died in 1977.

Survivors include three sons, Craig (Ginny) of Minnetonka, MN, Brian of Ankeny, IA, and Dana of Berkeley, CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordon of Tucson, AZ; and a sister, Audrey Wright of Bethesda, MD.

A memorial service for Paul W. Gardner will be at a later date. The body was cremated. Johnson-Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro was in charge of arrangements.
