Irvin 'Bud' Johnson

Irvin ‘Bud’ Johnson, 57, a lifelong Mabel-area resident, died Sunday December 10, 2000 in Mabel.

Mr. Johnson was born January 6, 1943, in Spring Grove, attended grade school at Newburg School and graduated from Mabel High School in 1961. For
many years he was a sprinkler fitter, had also operated a restaurant in Harmony and Fairway Auto Sales in Mabel, and until recently continued to deal in used cars. Mr. Johnson lived in Newburg until moving to Mabel in 1998. He was a member of Local 669 and was the mayor-elect of Mabel. He enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include five sisters, Pernella Helgeson of Canton, Marlyn (Wilbur) Sayles of Austin, Dorothy Johnson of Loveland, Colo., Janice (Curtis) Wheeler of Marion, N.C., and Carol Skadsem of Rochester. His parents preceded him in death.

The funeral for Irvin "Bud" Johnson was held on Thursday, December 14, 2000 at the United Methodist Church in Mabel, with the Rev. Phyllis Wilcox officiating.
