Bernice Boysen, 81, of Park Rapids, MN., formerly of the Wykoff area, died Sunday December 10, 2000.

Bernice M. Theiss was born November. 3, 1919, in Fillmore Township, Fillmore County, grew up on the family farm near Wykoff and graduated from Wykoff High School. She married Harold Boysen in Kasson and they lived and worked in southeastern Minnesota. Upon retirement, they moved to Nevis, MN., and Park Rapids, where they had resided about 20 years, and spent many winters in Phoenix, AZ. Mrs. Boysen was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Dorset and for several years was involved with the retired senior volunteer
program by knitting mittens for needy children. She enjoyed needlecrafts, card games and fishing.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Bonnie (Ken) Zitzow, Carol (John) Bedtke and Penny (Harry) Zeitler, all of Dover; and six granddaughters. A brother preceded her in death.

The funeral for Mrs. Boysen was held on Wednesday, December 13, at First English Lutheran Church in Dorset, with the Rev. John Thompson officiating. Burial was in Greenwood
Cemetery in Park Rapids.
