Edgar Milford Johnson, 87, of Rushford, a longtime Farmers Cooperative Elevator employee, died Monday, December 18, 2000, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Mr. Johnson was born January 2, 1913, in Whalan and attended Whalan schools. On June 5, 1942, he married Pearl B. Rasmussen. He owned Johnson Trucking, later worked at Farmers Cooperative Elevator for 25 years and also drove bus for Rushford Public Schools. Mr. Johnson was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church, its dart team and men's club, and for many years enjoyed serving lefse and codfish at the church's annual fall supper.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Douglas (Carol) of Dodge Center; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and a brother.

The funeral for Edgar Milford Johnson was held on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at Rushford Lutheran Church. Hoff Funeral Home - Rushford Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
