Dolores Nagel, 90, of Minneapolis, formerly of Chatfield, died Wednesday December 27, 2000, at Park Crest Baptist Care Center in Minneapolis where she had resided since May 1998.

Dolores M. David was born April 25, 1910, in Chatfield and graduated from Chatfield High School in 1928. In 1931, she graduated from the Kahler School of Nursing as a registered nurse and worked with the Mayo brothers in surgery. On June 24, 1933, she married Dale Nagel in Hammond. Her husband, owner and operator of Nagels Garage in Chatfield and founder of the Chatfield School Bus Service, died in 1960. Mrs. Nagel lived in Chatfield until 1928 and then in Rochester until returning to Chatfield in 1933. From 1965 to 1972, she lived in Litchfield and then again in Chatfield until moving to Minneapolis in 1998. She was a member of the Eastern Star, was a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors and served as a deacon at Pioneer Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tom (Wilma) of Litchfield, MN., and Terry (Louise) of Caldwell, ID; a daughter, Vicki Anderson of Brooklyn Park, MN; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a stepgreat-granddaughter. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

The funeral for Mrs. Nagel was held Saturday, December 30, 2000, at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Chatfield with the Rev. Tim Gerarden officiating. Burial will be in Chatfield Cemetery in the spring. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangements.
