Mildred "Milly" Mundfrom

Mildred "Milly" Mundfrom, 72, of rural Spring Valley, a former secretary and medical transcriptionist, died February 22, 2001 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Mildred Louise Johnson was born Dec. 27, 1928, to Carl and Rena Johnson in rural Tracy, MN, and was a 1946 graduate of Bethany Lutheran High School in Mankato. She had been a secretary at Bethany Lutheran High School and a medical transcriptionist at Mayo Clinic and several other clinics. On May 4, 1958, she married Frederick Mundfrom, and they farmed in the Cherry Grove and Spring Valley areas. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff and enjoyed church music and working with Root River Lutherans for Life.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linnette (Lee) Fehr of Onalaska, WI; two sons, David (Susanne) of Winona and Gary (Roni) of Duluth; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Eunice (Robert) Anderson of New Ulm, Minn., and Doris (Carroll) Veer of Rochester.

The funeral for Mildred "Milly" Mundfrom was February 24, 2001 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff, with the Rev. Robert Burmeister officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Thauwald Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangments.
