Helen M. Dvorak, 87, of Rushford, a longtime area farm homemaker, died February 15, 2001 in Bremmer Suites of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, where she had lived the past year.

Helen M. Tracy was born May 1, 1913, in Mason City, IA, moved to the Rushford area with her family as a small child and graduated from Rushford High School in 1938. On Oct. 5, 1938, she married Edward Dvorak in Rushford. They farmed on the Dvorak family farm east of Rushford until moving into Rushford in 1990. Mrs. Dvorak was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Paul (Luanne) of Rushford; a daughter, Rose Marie (Harvey) Anderson of Woodbury, MN; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.

A funeral Mass for Helen M. Dvorak was held February 17, 2001 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rushford, with the Rev. William Kulas officiating. Hoff Funeral Homes-Cook Rushford Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
