Curtiss D. Danielson, 75, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Peterson area, died Saturday, February 10, 2001, at his home.

Curt Danielson was born in Fillmore County on November 25, 1925, to Clarence and Tillie (Olson) Danielson. He grew up in rural Fillmore County and was educated in Peterson, where he graduated from high school early to join the Army Air Force. He served from 1943 until 1945. He then attended the Winona Business College in Winona and also the University of Arkansas. In 1953, he married Helen Marie Korsness of Hesper, IA, and they moved to Moorhead, MN, where he worked at Concorida College until retiring in 1989. During that time he held various positions in administration including Assistant Controller, Director of the Physical Plant and Grounds, and Bookstore Manager. He was very involved with the Concordia Language Villages Camp Program for ten of the years he was at the college. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, serving as treasurer for nearly thirty years. He was active in the Moorhead Kiwanis, serving as Club Secretary for many years. He was also involved with "Dollars for Scholars." Curt was the Ticket Manager for the Minnesota boys and girls high school basketball games held at Concordia from 1954 to 2000. In later years, he also enjoyed working and playing at the lake.

Curt is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, David Danielson (and his fiance Valerie Hermes) of Minneapolis, and Steven (Rhonda) Danielson, M.D., St. Cloud, MN; two daughters, Debra Danielson of Minneapolis, and Nancy Danielson of Falcon Heights, MN; two brothers, Donald (Charlotte) Danielson of Summerfield, FL, and Myron (Nancy) Danielson of Hayfield, MN; one sister, Norma (Merlin) Halverson of Rushford; and five grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, Greta, Elena, and Paige Danielson.

The funeral for Mr. Danielson was held Tuesday, February 13, 2001, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead, MN. Interment was in Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
