June M. Marzolf, 74, of Chatfield, formerly of rural Fountain, died February 26, 2001 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.

June M. Brown was born June 11, 1926, in Orion Township, Olmsted County, the daughter of Carl and Avis (Manning) Brown. She attended country school in Fillmore County. She married John Goldsmith and after his death she married Edward Marzolf. He died in 1998. Mrs. Marzolf was a homemaker, and was employed as a waitress and cook at Cliff's Cafe in Chatfield. She later had a ceramic business with Mr. Marzolf. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Preston.

Survivors include five sons, Carl (Karen) Goldsmith and Wayne (Wanda) Goldsmith, both of Chatfield, Wyatt (Judy) Goldsmith of Dover, Donald (Jean) Goldsmith of Brandon, MN., and Terry (Karen) of Racine; two daughters, Ann (Dennis) Hove of Elk River, MN, and Nancy (David) Forman of Chatfield; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale and Lee Brown; and two sisters, Betty Lou Smith and Geri Amundson. A grandchild and a brother preceded her in death.

The funeral for June M. Marzolf was held February 28, 2001 at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston, with the Revs. Bernard Daiker and James Rushton officiating. Spring burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Preston. Thauwald Funeral Home in Preston was in charge of arrangements.
