Why is campaign finance reform still the single most important issue Congress must deal with? Because it APPEARS that money can buy an elected office, pardons, and even a tax cut for some very wealthy Americans. Both major political parties are guilty. Their decisions APPEAR to be influenced more by money than what is good for our country and us who elected them.

Congress will be debating the McCain Feingold campaign finance reform bill around the middle of March. We must let our elected officials know that now is the time for serious and meaningful discussion of this important issue. You can call your Senator or Representative by dialing (202)224-3121 (U.S. Capitol Switchboard) and ask for the member by name. The White House (Comment Office) number is (202)456-1111.

Call now. You can make a difference.
