Harry E. Cronk, 74, of Wykoff, died March 16, 2001) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

He was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Chatfield, the son of Otis E. and Hattie (Griffin) Cronk and grew up in southern Minnesota. From 1944 to 1946, he served with the Marines. On July 4, 1950, he married Judith J. Deyo in Hot Springs, S.D. They farmed in Ree Heights, S.D., for a number of years. He then was employed in over-the-road trucking, and lived in Washington State and Minnesota. He was a member of the Wykoff American Legion.

Survivors include two sons, Carl (Lucila) of Rochester and Dwayne (Darla) of Spring Valley; one daughter, Kay (Brian) Rathbun of Wykoff; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Margaret) Cronk of Deming, Wash.; and four sisters, Thelma Groh of Lynden, Wash., Phyllis Puller of Bellingham, Wash., Ethel Litwiler of Los Osos, Calif., and Ruth (David) Rancourt of Lynnwood, Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife, one granddaughter and a brother.

The funeral for Harry E. Cronk was held March 20, 2001 at Wykoff United Methodist Church, the Rev. Bob Kandels officiating. Burial was in Wykoff Cemetery with military graveside rites. Thauwald Funeral Home in Wykoff was in charge of arrangements.
