Arthur Molstein, 81, of Rushford, a longtime area farmer, died Sunday (March 25, 2001) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Born Aug. 5, 1919, at North Prairie in Fillmore County, he graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1937 and attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. He farmed for many years until moving into Rushford in 1998. Mr. Molstein was a member of North Prairie Lutheran Church and its choir and the Rochester Male Chorus. He was a director of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Foundation Board and served on the Fillmore County Historical Society Board.

Survivors include a brother, Gilbert of Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mary Ann Hamann of Fountain.

The funeral for Arthur A. Molstein was held Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at North Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro with the Rev. Victor Jortack officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Hoff Funeral Homes-Cook Rushford Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
