Beulah M. Anderson, 81, of Chatfield, died April 21, 2001 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, where she had lived one year.

Beulah M. Ellenberg was born Feb. 26,1920, in rural Spring Valley and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1939. She continued to live in rural Spring Valley until her marriage to Alfred Anderson on Sept. 11, 1940, in rural Spring Valley. She then lived in rural Chatfield until moving into town in 1996. Her husband died Sept. 14, 1989. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Salem Road Covenant Church in Rochester, and a former member of Sumner Center United Methodist Church where she was active in youth ministry and was worship leader for children's Sunday school.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald of Spring Valley, Gary (Deborah) of rural Chatfield and Richard (Debra) of Keosauqua, Iowa; two daughters, Diane (Reagan) Miller of rural Spring Valley and Debbie Davids of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Phyllis (Donald) Popp of rural Hutchinson, Minn., and Elaine Webb of rural Spring Valley. A brother preceded her in death.

The funeral for Beulah M. Anderson was held April 24, 2001 at Salem Road Covenant Church in Rochester,with the Rev. Mark Evinger officiating. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangments.
