LeRoy, gateway to Lake Louise State Park, is a bustling little town on the edge of the priaire. Located south of Spring Valley on Hwy 56, LeRoy is part of the Shooting Star Scenic Byway.

Lake Louise State Park is often referred to as an "oasis" in rich farmland of southeastern Minnesota. Many species of wildlife are attracted by the diverse habitat of hardwood forest and old field areas found in the park. The 1,168 acre park contains two spring-fed streams which join in the park to form the Upper Iowa River, a dam and impoundment where a grist mill was located in the late 1800's, and scattered stands of hardwoods which are remnants of a larger forest.

The park is located just north of town and is accessible via a 1.5 mile bike trail that connects the park and the town of LeRoy.
