Jennie J. Meyer, 88, of Wykoff, died May 6, 2001 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.

Jennie Josephine Zwart was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Beaver Township, Fillmore County. On Sept. 24, 1932, she married Paul O. Meyer in Wykoff, where the couple farmed until their retirement. Mrs. Meyer was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff, its Ladies Aid, and Wykoff Thriftyville Homemakers. She enjoyed fishing and visiting people.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, Melvin (Irma) of rural Spring Valley and Donald (Eleanor) of Houston; three daughters, Maxine (Walter) Morse of Wichita Falls, Texas, Marlene (Donald) Mueller of San Antonio, Texas, and Karen (Russell) Moga of Los Gatos, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Earley of Fountain. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral for Jennie J. Meyer was held May 11, 2001 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wykoff, with the Rev. Robert Burmeister officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Thauwald Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
