Wilma H. Wesselink, 90, of Cherry Grove, died May 11, 2001 at Spring Valley Care Center in Spring Valley, where she had lived for a short time.

Wilma Henrietta Hebrink was born Oct. 29, 1910, in York Township, Fillmore County. She attended the Red School through the eighth grade. She married Peter Mathews on Sept. 25, 1935. He died in 1977. On Nov. 6, 1982, she married Howard Wesselink in Cherry Valley. Mrs Wesselink belonged to Cherry Grove United Meth-odist Church for close to 75 years.

ivors include her husband; a stepson, Floyd (Carol) Wesselink of Marion, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Coleen (Marvin) Schmidt of Rochester and Marlys (Paul) Nagel of Jesup, Iowa; 16 stepgrandchildren; and two foster children, Shirley Heddlesten of Marysville, Calif., and Ruth (Orlo) Link of Wykoff; and a sister-in-law, Delia Hebrink of Cresco, Iowa. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral for Wilma H. Wesselink was held May 15, 2001 at Cherry Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Rader officiating. Burial was in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
