Geraldine "Geri" Overton, 68, of Rushford, a retired Rush Products employee, died May 19, 2001 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Geraldine Kuykendall was born July 19, 1932, in Rutherfordton, N.C. On June 5, 1967, she married Larry Overton in Virginia Beach, Va., and they moved to Rushford that year. She retired from Rush Products in 1994. Mrs. Overton was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson and its circle, and Byron American Legion Auxiliary 119.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Judy Caudell, Debbie (Larry) Vomhof and Cindy (Ron) Lund, all of Chatfield, Gail (Gerald) Trocinski of La Crescent and Tina (John) Williams of Rushford; four sons, Sam (Karen) Harrison of Lewiston, David Harrison of Chatfield, and Jeff (Cindy) Harrison and Mike (Connie) Harrison, both of Winona; three stepdaughters, Terry (Forrest) Sullivan, Denise (Jack) Nave and Esther Overton, all of Fredricksburg, Va.; a stepson, Stephen (Patsy) Overton of Murphysboro, Ark.; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; four brothers, Charlie Bass, Linbergh Byers, Jack Crain and Sam Newton; and three sisters, Josephine Smith, Tinsy Starnes and Dollie Rae Wishon. Three brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral for Geraldine Overton was held May 22, 2001 at North Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro, with the Rev. Norman W. Wahl officiating. Burial was in West Grace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Peterson. Hoff Funeral Homes-Cook Rushford Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
