Herman William Henry Henselin

Mr. Henselin, 82, of Chatfield, a retired farmer, died Monday (July 16, 2001) en route to a Rochester hospital.

Born June 29, 1919, in Caledonia, he lived there until 1946 and then in rural Stewartville until moving to Chatfield in 1969. He continued farming until his retirement in 1992. On April 22, 1982, he married Lorraine Heuer Covert at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield. Mr. Henselin was an avid collector and restorer of antique tractors and gas engines, several of which are now in museums.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Karl (Nina) Covert of Kennebunk, Maine; three stepdaughters, Cynthia (Ronald) Covert-Horbinski of Mequon, Wis., Esther (Jerry) Covert-Crow of Wykoff and Karen (Walter) Covert-Jones of Schenectady, N.Y.; four stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Gustave (Margery) of Rochester and Wilfred of rural Stewartville; and three sisters, Ethel Bolduan, Lillian (Robert) Bissen and Doretta Schmidt, all of Caledonia. Two sisters and an infant brother preceded him in death.

The funeral for Herman William Henry Henselin was held (July 21, 2001) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with the Rev. Eugene Larrabee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangements.
