Arden M. Nepstad

Mr. Nepstad, 85, a retired farmer and fish hatchery worker, died of Parkinson's disease Thursday (July 19, 2001) at Harmony Health Care Center where he resided since 1996.

He was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Lanesboro, and graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1933. He married Esther Quarstad on June 29, 1952, in Pilot Mound Lutheran Church. He farmed for 30 years and then worked at the Lanesboro fish hatchery for 15 years. He was also a school bus driver for seven years, and for 20 years he and wife were custodians for Bethlehem Lutheran Church, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard (Jennifer) of Lanesboro; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.

The funeral for Arden M. Nepstad was Monday (July 23, 001) in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro, with the Rev. Kerry Eversole officiating. Burial was in the Lanesboro Cemetery. Johnson-Riley Funeral Home in Lanesboro was in charge of arrangements.
