James Joseph Bradt

Mr. Bradt, 64, of Chatfield, a longtime Tuohy Furniture Corp. employee, died of complications of cancer Thursday (July 19, 2001) at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis where he had been a patient for three weeks.

Born Jan. 12, 1937, in Eyota, he graduated from Chatfield High School in 1955 and lived in Chatfield most of his life. On May 16, 1959, he married Joan Hareldson in Lanesboro. Mr. Bradt was production manager at Tuohy Furniture for 36 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Fish and Game Club of Chatfield, and a former member of the volunteer ambulance crew.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy (Debrann) of Zumbrota; four daughters, Ann (David) Tillmann of Moundsview, Minn., Kay (Todd) Rath and Janet (Kurt) Miller, both of Rochester, and Lisa (David) Karrow of Woodbury, Minn.; six grandchildren; two brothers, John "Jack" (Darlene) and Richard (Colleen), both of Chatfield; and three sisters, Beverly (Gene) Forrey of Sun City West, Ariz., Marjane Luedtke of Chatfield and Donna Mae Bradt of Rochester. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

The funeral for James Joseph Bradt was Monday (July 23, 2001) at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chatfield, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Chatfield. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangements.
