Controlling fleas & ticks is an essential part of caring for your pet. These parasites bite, cause itching & can threaten your pets and your families health because they spread disease. Since many popular flea and tick treatments work differently, choosing the correct product for your pet can be a difficult decision.
We see an increase in flea infestations in the fall as fleas try to find a warm place to spend the winter. Make sure that you continue to treat every pet in your house until the weather is below freezing.
Ticks are very good at transmitting disease to both you and your pet. We have seen ticks in every month except December. Please treat all pets that spend time outdoors for ticks throughout the year. Call our office at 507-765-2117 for help in finding a flea/tick preventative that is right for your pet's life style.
