LANESBORO, MINN. - The Commonweal Theatre and the Fillmore House Bed and Breakfast, located in historic downtown Lanesboro, offer a free movie screening of the 2003 holiday comedy Elf - starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, and Zooey Deschanel. Buddy the Elf, a human adopted by Santa's elves when he was a baby, travels to New York City to find his real father, whose career-driven ways have landed him on Santa's "naughty" list.

The movie will be shown at The Commonweal Theatre on Saturday, December 4th. Santa and his helpers will be available for pictures from 3:30 until the movie presentation begins at 4:00. No reservations are required, although all children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to the film is free, although all children are encouraged to bring the gift of a new, unwrapped art supply to donate to Commonweal's Art-for-Kids project. Between now and December 19th, all donated art supplies will be gathered and delivered to the Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital in Rochester.

For more information about this event, call the Commonweal Theatre Box Office at 1-800-657-7025 or by stopping in to the theatre located at 208 Parkway Ave N in downtown Lanesboro
