How can I keep my pet healthy during the holidays?

Dr. Linda Sifford

During the Holidays, our lives are often out of their normal routine. Pets can have a hard time adapting to change, so keep their routine as normal as possible.

Put away toxic foods. Dark chocolate can be deadly for pets. Other foods that can cause problems are onions, raw potatoes, raisins & grapes. Some plants & flowers like poinsettias, yew, & lilies can be toxic, too.

Be aware of the cold. Remember not to leave your furry friends outside for too long. Just because they have fur, it doesn't mean that they can withstand sub-zero temps.

Don't give your pet treats that they aren't used to. Upset stomachs can arise because of fatty holiday treats. Please call us if you have questions or problems with your furry friends.

Happy Holidays!
