In Chatfield Tuesday, the R-P ladies handled the Gophers 52-28. R-P limited Chatfield to 11 of 51 shooting from the field and 0-10 from long range. A 15-2 Trojan run in the final 5:45 of the first half put Dave Lind's girls ahead for good. Sophomore forward Amy Todd had a 'break out' game with 19 points. Kensie Lind did a little of everything (9 pts, 12 rebs, 5 dimes, 2 stls, and 2 blks). For Chatfield, Kenna Moechnig was leading scorer with 11.
In Rushford, the Trojan boys prevailed 57-45. They were without starting guard Trent Vix. Stepping up big-time, Nick Thompson pumped in 28. He knocked down seven of ten long-range shots! Both teams launched the three-pointer liberally, but the telling stat was R-P's ability to hit more two-point shots (13 to 7). Erik Hilgren and Mitch Narveson reached double-figures for the Gophers with 12 and 10 each.
