Dear Friends,
It is with the saddest heart I pass on the following. Please join me in remembering a great icon - the veteran Pillsbury spokesman:
The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flour. A long time friend, Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very “smart” cookie, wasting much of his dough in half-baked schemes.
Despite being a little flaky at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions. Toward the end it was thought he would rise again, but alas he was no tart.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.

Sewing Basket
My mother sat at night to sew
Her fingers flying to and fro,
The sewing basket open wide
with handy contents tucked inside -
Like sewing needles those that darn
Big spools of thread and colored yarn,
Thimbles, buttons, snaps and beads,
Hooks, elastic for our needs,
Patches, ribbons for our frocks,
a wooden egg for darning socks,
Her basket in a memory
And one that’s very dear to me
I know and so does God above
That every stitch was made with “Love”.

A quick way to clean smudged eyeglasses is with white vinegar. A small squeeze bottle in your purse or desk allows for quick wipes with a tissue.

Chuckle
A little boy came home from Sunday School very excited about the lesson he had read about the creation and how Eve was taken from Adam’s side. A few days later he came home from school in a seemingly distressed mood. When his mother asked what was wrong, he replied “My side hurts, I think I’m going to have a wife.”
